Connecting the dots

The universe is large compared with us little inhabitants of a small planet near a small star in one of billions of galaxies. Yet so far we are the only life of our kind we know of. Like raindrops in the desert, we are insignificant on that scale, yet we are here and to us at least, we are significant. And I think this grandeur is worth celebrating.
